FSEU Position Paper - Fire Resilience: Key for a Sustainable Future

Buildings have to be fire resilient to foster a truly sustainable future. It is only when buildings can resist, adapt to and recover from fire that the adverse consequences of a fire on the environment, society and the economy can be avoided. We, therefore, call on legislators to acknowledge that fire safety and sustainability reinforce one another and to ensure that fire safety is considered in the relevant policies and regulations.
