On the 16th of March 2023, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) will present the findings of their research project “Environmental and Health Impacts of Fire and Fire Suppression Activities During Large-Scale Fire Events”.
The presentation will focus on the remote effects of large-scale fire events, both wildland and structural, on human health and natural resources such as air, water, and soil. Moreover, it will identify current systems and software used for monitoring these incidents and look at standards, industry best practices, and tools used to quantify the impact of large-scale fire events.
