Fire Safe Europe joins the the European Housing Alliance

19 Jun 2026

Fire Safe Europe will contribute to the Alliance’s work by advocating for safe and resilient housing across Europe.

On 19 June 2026, Fire Safe Europe participated in the inaugural meeting of the European Housing Alliance, a new platform bringing together EU institutions, Member States, cities, regions, researchers and stakeholders to address Europe's housing challenges.

The meeting marked the beginning of the Alliance's work to shape its priorities and future work programme, with discussions focusing on how to deliver more affordable, sustainable and resilient housing across Europe.

As a member of the Alliance, Fire Safe Europe reiterated its commitment to ensuring that fire safety remains an integral part of Europe's housing agenda. As Europe seeks to accelerate housing delivery and improve the energy performance of buildings, it is essential that these objectives go hand in hand with measures that protect occupants and ensure the long-term safety and resilience of the built environment.

Fire Safe Europe looks forward to working with fellow Alliance members to share expertise, exchange best practices and contribute to the development of policies that place safe housing at the heart of Europe's response to the current housing challenge.
